Jamie A. Parson

Chief Diversity Officer at Appalachian State University

Jamie A. Parson is currently the Chief Diversity Officer at Appalachian State University. In this role, they are responsible for the development and implementation of the university's diversity strategy. Jamie also serves as a liaison to the university's Board of Trustees on diversity initiatives and works with the president, senior administration, and campus constituents to ensure that Appalachian State University is an inclusive community that values diversity.

Parson is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Law and has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Jamie A. Parson received a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Nebraska College of Law and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Sociology and Anthropology from Nebraska Wesleyan University.
