Mattia Alemani

Mattia Alemani is an experienced professional in the fields of metallurgy and material sciences, currently serving as CTS Manager for Flat Products at ArcelorMittal since January 2020. In this role, Mattia coordinates technical and R&D teams to drive product development and innovation, provides customer technical support, identifies optimal steel grades for various product requirements, and manages production feasibility in collaboration with the commercial team. Prior to ArcelorMittal, Mattia held the position of Senior R&D Material Specialist at Brembo S.p.A from May 2012 to January 2020, where responsibilities included coordinating an R&D metallurgy lab, overseeing PhD students, and leading European Union funded projects. Mattia’s career began at Brembo as a Junior R&D Material Specialist, focusing on metallic materials development and failure analysis. Academically, Mattia holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Tribology from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Metallurgy from Politecnico di Milano.
