ARCHES
Inclusive Education and Gender Equality Strategy
The Inclusive Education and Gender Equality Strategy Team leads ARCHES’ efforts to embed equality, diversity, and inclusive practices across all Horizon Europe activities. The team plays a central role in implementing the ARCHES Gender Equality Plan and ensuring compliance with EU standards in research environments. It also supports proposal development and project design, with recent contributions to the ARTEMIS and EQUITY-RISE submissions, both of which prioritize inclusive education, gender mainstreaming, and equitable participation in research and innovation. Through evidence-based approaches, capacity building, and collaboration with partners, the team strengthens ARCHES’ commitment to fair, accessible, and responsible research practice.

Advance ARCHES’ commitment to equality and inclusion by implementing the Gender Equality Plan, strengthening gender-responsive research practices, and promoting inclusive education across Horizon Europe projects and other initiatives. The team ensures that ARCHES integrates gender mainstreaming, equitable participation, and inclusive learning approaches, thereby enhancing the organisation’s excellence, compliance, and societal impact.
This team stands out for its capacity to connect gender equality, inclusive education, and research excellence—domains that are often addressed in isolation. By embedding the ARCHES Gender Equality Plan into both the design and implementation of projects, the team ensures that equality becomes a catalyst for quality, innovation, and societal value rather than a simple compliance requirement. With deep expertise in gender-responsive research, inclusive learning practices, and EU policy frameworks, the team strengthens ARCHES’ competitiveness while promoting social responsibility. Its proactive, evidence-based, and cross-cutting approach makes it an essential driver of ARCHES’ strategic development and its standing within European research and innovation.
The team operates through a collaborative, evidence-based, and policy-aligned approach. It begins by assessing project needs and ensuring alignment with the ARCHES Gender Equality Plan and EU requirements. It systematically integrates gender equality measures, inclusive education principles, and diversity considerations into project design, implementation, and evaluation.
Working closely with project coordinators, researchers, and partner institutions, the team provides guidance on gender mainstreaming, inclusive methodologies, and ethical research practices. It conducts gap analyses, supports training and capacity-building activities, and develops tools to monitor progress and impact. Through continuous dialogue with EU frameworks, best practices, and stakeholder feedback, the team ensures that ARCHES’ projects are both competitive and socially responsible. This collaborative and structured approach enables the team to embed inclusion and equality across all stages of research and innovation.
EU guidelines, gender audits, inclusive training modules, collaborative platforms, data analysis tools, and stakeholder mapping—used to embed equality and inclusion across all ARCHES projects.
