Ardent is seeking a Project Manager/Scrum Master to join our team.  

This is a hybrid position located in the Washington DC area. 

Position Description:

Ardent is seeking a Project Manager/Scrum Master to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for [insert general description of the role, e.g., "leading complex IT projects from initiation to completion, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely delivery of technology solutions". You will work closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and senior leadership to drive the success of [insert relevant projects or focus areas, e.g., "data management systems, cloud infrastructure, or software development initiatives". The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership abilities, and problem-solving skills to manage and execute impactful technology projects.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Organizes, directs, and manages contract operation support functions, involving multiple, complex, and inter-related project tasks. 
  • Manages teams of contract support personnel at multiple locations and acts as an embedded member of the team. 
  • Maintains and manages the client interface at the senior levels of the client organization.
  • Lead, manage, and contribute to high-level government meetings.
  • Meets with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items. 
  • Ensures conformance with program task schedules and costs.
  • Experience in managing a diverse group of functional activities, subordinate groups of technical and administrative personnel.
  • Establishes and maintains technical and financial reports to show progress of projects to management and customers, organizes and delegates responsibilities to subordinates and oversees the successful completion of all assigned tasks.  

Requirements: 

  • 6 years of experience in information technology, with an emphasis on project management within IT and technology-driven environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as: Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related discipline.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing resource allocation, timelines, and client expectations.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., architects, developers, business analysts, data scientists).
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, Asana, Trello, Confluence).
  • Financial management experience in tracking budgets, forecasting, and reporting on project costs and expenses.
