Palmar Gardarsson

Palmar Gardarsson has extensive experience as a Network Engineer and Administrator. Palmar worked at Arion banki in 2021 as a Network Engineer. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2020, they worked at Valitor as a Network Engineer, where they were responsible for designing and administering the network infrastructure. Palmar also played a central role in architecting an international network and managing the company's data centers and hardware.

From 2011 to 2017, Palmar worked at Arion banki, initially as a Network Administrator and later as a System Administrator. In these roles, they focused on the administration of the company's network infrastructure, including WAN and Metronet for the branches. Palmar also worked on transitioning to a scripted and automated environment and was involved in security and monitoring.

Before that, Palmar was an IT Technician at Vodafone Iceland from 2009 to 2011. In this role, they administered public DNS servers, web hosting servers, and email for clients. Palmar also provided troubleshooting and configuration support to clients and the technical support team.

Their earlier experience includes working as a Junior Programmer at Air Atlanta Icelandic in 2008.

Palmar Gardarsson holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science from Háskóli Íslands. In addition, they have obtained the following certifications: Cisco Certified Specialist - Security Core from Cisco in June 2023 and CCNA Routing & Switching from Cisco in October 2016.
