Tim Johnston

SVP of Product at Arlo

Tim Johnston has served as the Sr. Vice President of Product since November 2021. Mr. Johnston has over 30 years of experience with consumer electronics product development, most recently serving as VP of Product Development and Engineering with Starkey Hearing and SVP and GM at Bowers & Wilkins where he created and headed the Headphone Business Unit. Prior to Bowers & Wilkins, Mr. Johnston held various leadership roles with Plantronics Inc. (Poly), including leading the comprehensive platforming and technology development, new product development, and development of the consumer headsets and headphones business.

Mr. Johnston has held Adjunct Professor roles with four universities teaching Design Thinking courses. He is a registered professional engineer, inventor on over 20 U.S. patents, and his products have received numerous accolades, including “Best Overall Headphones” by Rolling Stones Magazine.

Mr. Johnston holds Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Gonzaga University, and Stanford Executive Program (SEP) certificate in General Management and Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
