Matthew Pawlowski

As Office Manager, Matthew helps Arts Midwest maintain a welcoming and productive workspace, and performs key administrative functions as a member of the Operations team. Prior to joining the Arts Midwest team, Matthew had a background in non-profit staff/office management and ran a community art exhibition space in the Mission District of San Francisco that focused on the work of emerging visual artists—he also worked as a picture framer over the years.

Matthew originally hails from Southwest Michigan, but moved to the Twin Cities many years ago where he graduated from Macalester College and the University of Minnesota. He currently spends time focusing on his art practice making queer-themed, conceptual needlework in St. Paul, where he lives with his housemate Barbara and 2 kooky rescue dogs.
