Thomas A. Aloia

Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer

Thomas A. Aloia, MD, MHCM, FACS, FACHE serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer at Ascension since January 2021, having previously held roles including Senior Vice President and System Chief Medical Officer, and Vice President of Clinical Service Lines and Oncology Services. Prior experience includes serving as the Chief Value and Quality Officer at MD Anderson Cancer Center from November 2010 to January 2021, alongside roles as a Hepatobiliary and Transplant Surgeon. Medical training includes General and Thoracic Surgery at Duke University Medical Center and surgical oncology fellowship at The University of Texas. Educational qualifications encompass a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of California-Los Angeles School of Medicine, a MHCM from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Cornell University. Additionally, a Medical Healthcare Management Certificate was obtained from Rice University's Jessie H. Jones Graduate School of Business.
