Vikas Dimble

Vikas Dimble is an accomplished expert in public policy and economics, currently serving as the Director and Head of the Isaac Centre for Public Policy at Ashoka University since October 2023. Previously, Vikas held the position of Associate Director and India Lead for the Data on Demand initiative at IDinsight from May 2021 to September 2023, managing a diverse portfolio of projects. Vikas also contributed to Ashoka University as Deputy Director of the Ashoka Center for Economic Policy, successfully establishing it as a globally recognized center for economic research. Earlier experience includes serving as Assistant Director of Research and Strategy at the University of Chicago, where Vikas managed numerous research projects, and working as a consultant for the World Bank Group. Vikas's research expertise has been further honed through roles at the London School of Economics, J-PAL, and other esteemed institutions, complemented by a solid academic foundation in economics from the University of Sussex and Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
