João Atalaia

João Atalaia is a seasoned sports scientist specializing in football, currently working at Aspire Academy since November 2023. Previously, João served as the S&C Coach/Sports Scientist for the Women’s First Team at SC Braga from July 2022 to July 2023 and held the position of Head of Performance for the Women’s First Team at Amora FC - Futebol, SAD from July 2021 to January 2022. Prior experience includes working as Head of Performance for the Women’s First Team at Grupo Desportivo Estoril Praia and briefly as an S&C Coach/Sports Scientist at Nottingham Forest FC and APOEL FC. João holds a Master’s degree in Sports Training from Faculdade de Motricidade Humana, obtained between 2020 and 2022, and completed undergraduate studies at Instituto Piaget from 2017 to 2020.
