Joseph G. Barden

Joseph G. Barden serves as the Executive Director of Margert Community Corporation since November 1987, where the organization has provided essential neighborhood preservation services and housing assistance for low-income individuals and families in Far Rockaway and the NYC Metro Area. Additionally, Joseph has been the Chairman of the Board for the Association for Energy Affordability, Inc. since June 2011, focusing on promoting energy efficiency in housing for low-income communities. From October 2015 to January 2023, Joseph held the position of Past-President of the Board of Directors for the Neighborhood Preservation Coalition of New York State, currently serving as a Director. Joseph obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Modern Language from St. John's University after attending St. Michael's College and Cathedral Preparatory Seminary.
