Brandon R. G. Smith

Brandon R. G. Smith, Ph.D., is an experienced professional in higher education with a strong background in student affairs and leadership. Currently serving as the Graduate Student Liaison for the Council on International Higher Education at the Association for the Study of Higher Education since November 2022, Brandon represents graduate student interests on the Executive Committee. Additionally, Brandon holds editorial board positions for prestigious journals, including the Journal of College Student Development and the Journal of Student Affairs Research and Practice. With a Doctor of Philosophy in Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education from Michigan State University, expected in April 2024, and a solid foundation in leadership and educational practices developed during roles at various universities, Brandon has contributed significantly to initiatives aimed at enhancing student success and educational outcomes.
