Giovanni Pellegrino

Giovanni (John) Pellegrino, P.Eng, ing. is an experienced engineering and management professional currently serving as General Manager at ASTEC since January 2024. Previously, Giovanni held the position of Senior Project Manager for Infrastructure, Planning and Environment at PortsToronto from July to December 2023. Giovanni's notable roles include Vice President of Construction Development & Technology at Hilton Niagara Falls/Fallsview Hotel and Suites from September 2018 to June 2023, and Chief Technology Officer at Avenue RFID Inc. from 2016 to 2018. Giovanni also served as Vice President and General Manager at MDS Power Inc. from 2015 to 2016, Interim General Manager at Profleet Remanufacturing in 2014-2015, and Partner and General Manager at Groupe Ricambi from 2005 to 2014. Early career experience includes Project Manager roles at Alstom and CAE from 2003 to 2005 and 1998 to 2003, respectively. Giovanni holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Concordia University and a DEC in Electrical Engineering Technology from Dawson College.
