Lakshmi Amaravadi

Lakshmi Amaravadi currently serves as the Head of Oncology Bioanalytical Strategy Team at AstraZeneca, a position held since May 2024. Previously, Lakshmi was the SVP and Head of Preclinical Development and Translational Medicine at Kojin Therapeutics and Dewpoint Therapeutics, where responsibilities included establishing preclinical capabilities and developing fit-for-purpose support models. Lakshmi has extensive experience in translational research, having worked at Boston Pharmaceuticals, Shire, and Genzyme, influencing biomarker strategies across several therapeutic areas. Additionally, Lakshmi was a member of the Board of Directors for the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists from 2021 to 2023 and has held various leadership roles in biomarker and bioanalytical development throughout a career that began in 1998 at Millennium Pharmaceuticals. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Cell/Molecular Biology and Developmental Biology from Indiana State University, as well as postdoctoral research at the Indiana University School of Medicine.
