Hamish Treleaven

Chief Risk Officer at ASX

Hamish Treleaven was appointed Chief Risk Officer in March 2017. He is responsible for designing and implementing all aspects of the risk management framework that ASX uses to operate and manage its business.

Hamish has extensive experience in financial markets risk management across all asset classes and product types.

Prior to joining ASX, Hamish was the Executive General Manager of Portfolio and Market Risk Management at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, where he worked from 2005 to 2017, with responsibility for risk management oversight of the Global Markets and Group Treasury businesses and for group-wide risk quantification for both regulatory and economic capital.

Hamish has extensive experience in derivative risk quantification and management, along with the related technology requirements. He has also been a Managing Director at Zurich Capital Markets Asia and Bankers Trust Australia.
