Marcelo Novaes de Oliveira

Marcelo Novaes de Oliveira is the current COO and co-founder of Athenian. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of Product & Operations at source{d} from January 2016 to December 2019. Before that, they were a partner investment banking at Fisher Investimentos from January 2013 to December 2014 where they structured, executed and assisted in transactions totaling around 200 million US dollars. Marcelo has also worked as an investment researcher for Ronit Capital LLP and Shelter Island Capital Management. Marcelo Novaes de Oliveira began their career in 2010 as an offshore fund manager and private equity investor for Fiducia Asset Management before moving to Goldman Sachs in 2012 where they worked in equity research.

Marcelo Novaes de Oliveira has a BBA from the School of Economics, Business and Accounting at the University of São Paulo, an exchange degree from IE Business School, and a diploma from Colégio São Luís. Marcelo is also a certified financial analyst (CFA) and has certifications from Bloomberg LP, Liga de Mercado Financeiro FEA-USP, and ETS.

Their manager is Eiso Kant, CEO & Founder. and Esther Garcia - Operations Manager & Financial Controller reports to Marcelo Novaes de Oliveira. They work with Lou Marvin Caraig - Head of Engineering, Paul Bleicher - VP, Marketing, and Waren Long - Head of Product.
