Ananya Kumar

Senior Fellow, Future Of Money, Geoeconomics Center

Ananya Kumar currently serves as the Deputy Director for the Future of Money at the Atlantic Council's GeoEconomics Center, having previously held positions as Associate Director and Assistant Director within the same center. With earlier experience as a Research Assistant to Dr. Joshua White at The Johns Hopkins University - Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and as a Graduate Research Fellow at the Foreign Policy Institute, Kumar has contributed to various projects in technology and society. Additional roles include Research Assistant at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and Junior Economist Intern at Prometeia. Kumar has a background in structured finance from Sidley Austin LLP and has assisted immigration clients at Sweet and Paciorek, LLC. International experience includes a summer research fellowship in Ghana and an internship focused on women's empowerment in India. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in International Economics and Strategic Studies from Johns Hopkins SAIS and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Bryn Mawr College.
