Matt Bergin

Matt joined Atlantic Street Capital in August 2019 with a background in private equity and investment banking.

Matt works on all aspects of the investment process with a particular focus on deal origination, due diligence, acquisition financing and execution. Matt serves on the Boards of Anatomy IT, Prescott's Inc., Sunrise Transportation, and Advancing Eye Care. Prior to joining Atlantic Street, Matt gained extensive investment experience working at the Watermill Group, a middle market private equity firm focused on the manufacturing, value-added distribution and business services sectors. While at Watermill, Matt was responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing leveraged buyouts, along with providing ongoing support for management teams. During his tenure, Matt facilitated the acquisition of over a dozen platform investments and add-on acquisitions, including three cross-border transactions in the U.K. and France, along with three portfolio company realizations. Prior to Watermill, Matt worked at Lazard Frères & Co. where he raised capital for private equity clients and advised on secondary transactions, including limited partnership portfolio sales and fund restructurings. Matt began his career working for Newbury Partners, a secondary private equity firm, completing secondary investments, co-investments and primary fund investments. Matt was named an Emerging Leader by the M&A Advisor in 2018. Matt received a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and International Business from Georgetown University.
