Derek Scansen

Derek Scansen is currently the OT Manager for Control Systems/SCADA at Atmos Energy, a position held since April 2024. Prior to this, Derek served as the US Manager for Automation/SCADA and Measurement at Ovintiv from April 2019 to January 2024, focusing on SCADA systems and cloud computing ecosystem design. Derek's experience also includes a role as Automation and Measurement Manager at Newfield Exploration from October 2010 to February 2019, and Automation Supervisor at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation from January 2000 to June 2010, where expertise in SCADA systems, PLC/DCS, and wellsite automation was developed. Earlier in Derek's career, from January 1994 to January 2000, a role as Project Lead at Kenonic Controls involved responsibilities in control systems, SCADA, and automation.
