Rogelio Rea is a Mexican-born investor and business executive. Rogelio is the co-founder and CEO of Atrato, an alternative asset manager in Mexico.

Rea began their career at Evidika, where they worked as an analyst from April 2016 to March 2019. There, they learned how to invest in the public markets, with a focus on long-term value investing. Rogelio led 12 portfolio investments and achieved above-market risk-adjusted returns.

In 2019, Rea was ranked top decile globally by a panel of senior asset allocators for their research on the best stocks to buy in 2019. Rogelio has also been featured on SumZero, a website for professional investors, for their investment memos.

Rea has experience with due diligence, competitive dynamics, commodity cycles, geopolitical influences, hostile takeovers, management changes, proxy fights, and more. Rogelio has a deep understanding of the Mexican market and has been instrumental in Atrato's success in navigating difficult situations and opportunities.

Rogelio Rea's educational career began at Las Vegas High School. Rogelio then attended Tecnológico de Monterrey, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Finance. Rea then completed a Bootcamp Advanced Innovation at the Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Intelligent Robots and Systems at the Beijing Institute of Technology. Finally, they attended the Y Combinator startup accelerator.
