Lauren Fitts

Lauren Fitts, MPH, CIC, serves as an Infection Prevention Specialist at Atrium Health since November 2021, following roles as an Infection Preventionist at St. Luke's Hospital and SSM Health. Fitts has developed and implemented infection prevention and control programs, led epidemiological outbreak investigations, and provided expertise in hospital committee meetings. With experience in data analysis and reporting from previous positions as a Data Specialist at Wyman Center and during an internship in epidemiology, Fitts has contributed to the improvement of healthcare quality and infection control measures. Fitts holds a Master's degree in Public Health and a Bachelor's degree in Health Professions from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Active participation in the Association of Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology further underscores a commitment to professional development in the field.
