Spencer Yu

Spencer Yu is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in intellectual property (IP) management spanning over two decades. Currently serving as Senior Director of IP at AUO since 2004, Spencer Yu is responsible for developing the IP strategy and overseeing a wide range of IP activities including innovation, patent prosecution, litigation, analysis, and licensing. Prior to AUO, Spencer Yu worked at the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) from 1992 to 2004, holding positions as an IP Manager and Patent Engineer, focusing on patent assessment, mapping, application, and management. Spencer Yu holds a Master's degree in IP from UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law, a doctorate in law from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Tatung University.
