Eric Shen

Eric Shen is an experienced professional in biomedical engineering, currently serving as a Research Assistant at the Auckland Bioengineering Institute since May 2022 and as a Medical Technology & Surgery Investment Committee Member at UniServices since June 2023. Shen participated as a Student Fellow in the Startmate program in June 2024 and held the position of Biorobotics Engineer at the UCI Samueli School of Engineering from September 2023 to January 2024, focusing on robotic systems for assessing stroke recovery. Prior to this, Shen worked as a Research Engineer at Formus Labs, where responsibilities included the development of a Python algorithm for hip implant metrics, and as a Product Development Engineer at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, involving plant upgrades and data collection. Shen is pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors in Biomedical Engineering at The University of Auckland, along with an exchange at UC Irvine in 2023.
