John Krivit

Conference Chair, 2018 AES Conference On High School Audio Educators at Audio Engineering Society

John Krivit is a seasoned professional in audio engineering and education with extensive involvement in various prestigious institutions and organizations. Serving as Past President of the Audio Engineering Society since November 2010, John has also chaired significant conferences, including the 2018 AES Conference on High School Audio Educators and the AES Conference on Audio Archiving, Preservation & Restoration. As the Founder and Principal of the Facebook group Hey Audio Student, John fosters a community of over 20,000 members dedicated to audio and music technology. Academic positions include faculty roles at Emerson College and Bridgewater State University, where John develops curricula in audio theory and music technology. John held the Director of Education position at Professional Audio Design, Inc. and has taught at several other institutions, earning the 2008 Norm Prescott Outstanding Teaching Award. John Krivit holds a Bachelor of Arts in American Culture from the University of Michigan and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Argosy University Sarasota.
