Angel Vales

Angel Vales, Ed.D., RTSBA, CCRE, currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Information Technology at Austin Independent School District since September 2022. Prior to this role, Angel was the Director of Student Transportation Services at Dallas Independent School District from August 2013 to September 2022 and held various positions at the district, including Center Manager at Youth and Family Centers, which collaborates with Parkland Hospital to offer comprehensive services to students. Angel's experience includes roles as Coordinator, High School Counselor, LPC Intern, and Elementary School Counselor. Earlier in the career, Angel also worked as a Bilingual Psychotherapist at Urban Counseling Clique and a Bilingual Teacher at Dallas ISD. Angel holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Baylor University, an Advanced Counseling Certificate from Lamar University, a Master in Education in School Counseling from Lamar University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico.
