Pennie Snowden is a seasoned legal and regulatory professional with extensive experience in Australian government agencies. Currently serving as Assistant Commissioner for Behaviours of Concern at the Australian Taxation Office since February 2024, Pennie previously held the role of Assistant Commissioner for Dispute Resolution at the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner from February 2023 to February 2024. Pennie's career also includes over a decade at the Australian Federal Police, first as General Counsel and later as Deputy General Counsel from April 2012 to February 2023. Prior experience includes a position as Senior Associate at Ashurst from 2008 to February 2012. Pennie holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from The Australian National University and is currently enhancing corporate governance knowledge through the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
