Elizabeth Cox

Elizabeth Cox currently serves as the General Manager for North East Asia at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) since March 2021, following a role as General Manager of Global Client Services. Prior to that, extensive experience was gained at Macquarie Group from March 2007 to December 2020 in various leadership positions, including Head of Government Relations for Asia and Head of Media Relations and External Communications for EMEA. Early career experience includes a Corporate Affairs Executive role at Mitsui & Co., Ltd. and Program Manager at the Japan Local Government Center. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Asian Studies specializing in Japanese Studies from The Australian National University and a Master's degree in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Technology Sydney.
