Mark Kalaj

Mark Kalaj is a Health Innovation Advisor at Avantiqor, providing support to the Program Manager at the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) since June 2025. Prior to this role, Mark served as a Staff Scientist and later as a Senior Scientist at Singular Genomics, focusing on surface chemistry and materials science from August 2021 to July 2025. Mark's academic journey includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry and a Master of Science in Chemistry from the University of California San Diego, where Mark also held roles as a National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellow and a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Earlier, Mark conducted inorganic research on actinide hybrid materials at The George Washington University, where Mark obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry.
