Digital security firm Avast has signed Nick Viney to oversee its expanding cybersecurity division. Mr Viney is the company’s new Senior Vice President and General Manager for the Telco, Internet of Things (IoT) and Family business unit. In his role, he will lead Avast’s global strategy for the business unit, lead its home security and expand its portfolio of security products.
Mr. Viney is a respected figure in cybersecurity, having served most recently as Group CEO at Cyber 1. He has held leadership positions at both Google and Microsoft, with expertise in consumer, SMB, enterprise, mobile, OEM, and Retail sectors.
