Samantha Jackson

Samantha Jackson is the current Head of Finance for Global Functions at Avon. Samantha has held this position since July 2011. Prior to that, they were the Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting at Avon from March 2009 to June 2011. Before their time at Avon, Jackson was an Assistant Vice President at Ambac from May 2006 to February 2009. In this role, they were responsible for reviewing numerous transactions to identify any potential embedded derivatives or variable interest entities. Additionally, they served as the primary industry liaison with the Financial Accounting and Standards Board in developing an accounting standard specific to financial guarantors. Jackson began their career as a Manager at PwC in January 1999, where they worked until April 2006.

Samantha Jackson has a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of Cape Town, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Cape Town. Samantha is also certified as a Certified Public Accountant from the Vermont Society of Certified Public Accountants, and as a Chartered Accountant from the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
