Matthew Welborn

Matthew Welborn is an accomplished Art Director currently at Avōq since August 2021, with prior experience as a Junior Art Director following the company's establishment in 2024. Previous roles include a Barista at Dolcezza, where premium coffee and gelato were served, and a Writing Tutor at Northern Virginia Community College, assisting students with writing assignments. Matthew contributed to temporary placements at Beacon Hill Staffing Group, fulfilling administrative and marketing needs for various organizations. As an Account Coordinator at The Fratelli Group, responsibilities included managing public policy campaigns and creating promotional materials. Earlier experience includes internships at the Consumer Technology Association, NoMa BID, Synetic Theater, and GALA Hispanic Theatre, as well as bartending at Pupatella. Matthew holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Graphic Design from Northern Virginia Community College and a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Language and Communication Media from American University.
