Rakesh Bhojnagarwala is an experienced banking professional with over 19 years of expertise in various leadership roles, particularly at Axis Bank since September 2011. Currently serving as the Regional Branch Banking Head and Head of Coverage for New Economy Group Clients, Rakesh has a proven track record in managing relationships with strategic and large corporate clients, including notable companies such as Reliance, AV Birla, and Tata. Prior experience includes a Vice President role at Citigroup, overseeing large local corporate banking in the Chennai and Coimbatore regions, and earlier positions at HDFC Bank in corporate banking and electronic banking initiatives. Rakesh holds a Chartered Accountant qualification, an MBA in Finance, and is a Company Secretary, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from St. Xavier's College.
