Chong Z.

Chong Z. is an experienced engineering professional with a focus on optical I/O chiplet fabrication and packaging, currently serving as Director at Ayar Labs since November 2018. Previously, Chong held several roles at Intel Corporation from September 2010 to October 2018, including Staff Packaging R&D Engineer, where significant contributions were made to substrate architecture, technical specifications, and reliability requirements. Notable accomplishments include improving substrate parameters and leading efforts in process and materials development for EMIB substrates. Prior experience includes roles at Resonetics as a Laser Application Engineer and at the University of Central Florida as a Graduate Research Assistant in the College of Optics and Photonics. Chong holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and an MS in Optics, both from the University of Central Florida.
