Afzaal is a Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Financial Consultant, and Chartered Accountant Inter with over 15 years of audit experience in multinational companies including the Big 4 (KPMG).

Afzaal was part of Azizi Developments for four years before he decided to move to the banking industry. After a 2-year stint at Dubai Islamic Bank, Afzaal rejoined Azizi as Head of Internal Audit, and subsequently Chief Financial Officer. After several years of outstanding work, Afzaal is now Chief Operating Officer. He is passionate about building effective, motivated teams and leading change management initiatives within the team and business.
