Matt Emery

Matt Emery is the Chief Information and Human Resource Officer at AZZ. Matt has held this position since December 2012. Prior to that, they were the Senior Director of Information Technology at HP from January 2004 to December 2012. In that role, they led the global application development and delivery organizations supporting Finance and HR, including SAP ERP (FI, CO, BW, BCS), as well as dozens of custom developed business applications. Matt also deployed the HR intranet content publishing system supporting 250,000 employees and implemented global general ledger and financial consolidation systems. In addition, they managed the global payroll applications supporting 60+ countries and led the global consolidated development team of 100+ people across 8 countries.

Before joining HP, Matt was the Associate Director at the MD Anderson Cancer Center from January 2002 to January 2004. In that role, they were an IT leader partnering with Human Resources and Scientific Research organizations. Matt managed an 85 person application development organization supporting PeopleSoft ERP, as well as many applications supporting researchers.

Matt's career began in 1989 as a System Engineer at Electronic Data Systems. Matt then moved to Compaq Computer Corporation in 1995 where they became the Information Technology Manager. Matt remained in that role until 2002 when they joined MD Anderson Cancer Center.

The educational career for Matt Emery would be a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Business Administration from Austin College.
