Douglas Mello

Douglas Mello is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in management and corporate governance. Currently serving as the Managing Director at Bacardi International Limited since October 2016, Mello oversees the operations of the Bermuda office and leads the Senior Management Team while maintaining critical relationships within the Bermuda community. Mello has also held the position of Vice President - Corporate Secretary, Shareholder Relations at Bacardi Limited since March 2006, and previously worked as Company Secretary/Manager and Deputy Compliance Officer at Schroders (Bermuda) Limited. Other roles include Human Resources Consultant at Bank of Bermuda Limited and Management Services Supervisor at Corporate Trust, Bank of Bermuda Limited. Mello’s educational background includes executive education at Harvard Business School and multiple certifications from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Mount Allison University.
