David Edelson

David Edelson currently serves as Managing Director in the Portfolio Group at Bain Capital since October 2022, focusing on CFO and finance responsibilities. With extensive experience in financial leadership, Edelson has been a member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Audit Committee at AutoNation since July 2008. Prior roles include Senior Advisor and Senior Vice President at Loews Corporation from May 2005 to October 2022, CFO at CNA Surety from June 2007 to June 2011, and Executive Vice President & Corporate Treasurer at JPMorgan Chase & Co. from February 1997 to April 2005, where Edelson advanced from Global M&A to leading Global Financial Institutions. Earlier in career, Edelson was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs from September 1985 to January 1997. Academic credentials include an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and an AB in English from Dartmouth College.
