Avner Mendelson

Avner Mendelson has been with the Leumi Group since 2007 and was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Leumi – US in September 2013. During his tenure, he served as Head of Group Strategy and International Operations, as well as Chief of Staff. He has also served on Leumi’s US Board of Directors since 2012.

Prior to joining the Leumi Group, Mendelson was a Senior Consultant with McKinsey & Company in London. Before that, he served in the Israeli Defense Forces for three years.

Mendelson earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and international relations from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and his MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He serves on both the Northeast Regional Board and the Board of Regents for the American Friends of The Hebrew University.
