Debora Bielecki

Debora Bielecki was appointed to the Bank of Canada’s Board of Directors in June 2018.

Born in Scarborough, Ontario, Ms. Bielecki later moved to North York. She completed the Executive Leadership Development program at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business in 2012 and the joint Harvard University–Hewlett-Packard program in Executive Leadership in 2013.

She is a partner and business consultant with Bielecki & Associates Inc., a management consulting firm that advises organizations on commercial strategies and how to leverage data and analytics. Previously, she was a global executive of technology services at Hewlett-Packard Worldwide. She has led teams in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Ms. Bielecki is a patent-pending inventor, having designed and deployed a predictive analytics solution that uses cloud computing and big data to provide businesses with unprecedented insight when making strategic decisions. She has participated as a panelist, moderator and keynote speaker at events including the DuPont Leadership Summit and the Big Data & Analytics Summit Canada.

She is the co-chair for Springboard Enterprises, which empowers women-led businesses; board advisor for Women Get On Board; member of the West Deane Restoration Effort; and advisor to many early-stage companies. She served as grants advisor to the board of the Mississauga Swimming and Aquatic Club.

Recognized for her community service, Ms. Bielecki received the Toronto Region Conservation Authority Service Award for her commitment and won the City of Toronto’s Volunteer Award four years in a row.
