Vangelis Monochristou - Ph.D.

Vangelis (Evangelos) Monochristou, PhD, MSc, currently serves as the Chief Information Officer and Digital Business Services Manager for the Insurance Business at the Bank of Cyprus since April 2018. In addition, Vangelis holds board member positions at Genikes Insurance and Eurolife since March 2020 and co-founded Agile Cyprus in February 2016 to promote agile practices in Cyprus. Previously, Vangelis was a Special Teaching Scientist at the University of Cyprus from September 2015 to December 2020, focusing on project management. Vangelis's extensive experience in the IT and insurance sectors includes roles as the Manager of Systems Integration Implementation Services at NetU Group, Project Manager at GNOMON Informatics, and Quality Assurance in Compucon. Vangelis holds a Ph.D. in Applied Informatics from the University of Macedonia, a Master’s in Insurance and Risk Management from Bayes Business School, and a Bachelor's in Applied Informatics from the University of Macedonia.
