Muharto MSc, CISA, CISSP is a seasoned information technology executive with extensive experience in the banking sector. Currently serving as the Director of Information Technology at PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk. since May 2025, Muharto previously held multiple leadership roles at PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. from February 2004 to May 2025, including Information Security Division Head and Vice President of Information Security, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing IT security initiatives and strategic planning. Earlier roles include Senior Manager of IT Strategy & Planning and Internal Auditor, focusing on IT governance and compliance. Muharto began the career at PricewaterhouseCoopers Indonesia as a Technology Risk Management Consultant, contributing to audits across diverse industries. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Kent and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Information Systems from Universitas Gadjah Mada.
