Wissam Abboud

Wissam Abboud is an accomplished compliance professional with extensive experience in the banking sector. Currently serving as the Head of Compliance for Global Private Banking at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) since April 2018, Wissam also held the position of VP, Compliance for Business Banking, Elite & Private Banking. Prior to this, Wissam worked at the National Bank of Abu Dhabi from July 2008 to November 2023, where roles included Director of Compliance for Global Asset Management and Custody Business, as well as Assistant Vice President and Custody Operations Manager. Earlier career experience includes serving as Assistant Manager for Custody and Clearing at HSBC Bank Limited in Kuwait and as a Custody and Clearing Officer at HSBC Bank Lebanon. Wissam holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the American University of Beirut, obtained in 2000.
