Paul A. Marchetti

Paul A. Marchetti is the current SVP, Chief Risk Officer at BankNewport. Prior to this, they served as Executive Vice President-Chief Enterprise Risk Officer & Chief Credit Officer at BankNewport for 6 years and 10 months. Before that, they were Chief Credit Officer & Chief Enterprise Risk Officer at Greylock Federal for 3 years.

Paul has over 13 years of experience as Regional Head Corporate Credit at CITIZENS FINANCIAL GROUP, PROVIDENCE, RI where they were responsible for directing credit teams (50) on oversight of commercial, ABL, real estate, equipment leasing, specialized, business banking, retail, investment, and special asset portfolio reviews to assess bank’s asset quality and credit administration. Paul is also a tenured member of bank’s Credit, Special Asset, Investment, Credit Policy, and Credit Modeling Committees.

Paul also has experience as Vice President -Credit at Fleet Financial Group, Inc. where they led a team of credit review officers to oversee credit reviews for commercial, commercial real estate, large corporate, asset based, specialized, lending portfolios throughout the Bank to ensure asset quality and credit administration standards. Paul was also a member of Credit Committee and Watch Asset Committee.

Paul A. Marchetti has a certificate from the RBS Business Leadership School in Leadership in Banking from 2007-2009. Paul also has a Masters of Business Administration from Bryant University in Business Administration and Management, General. Their undergraduate degree is from the University of Rhode Island in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Administration and Management, General. Additionally, they is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist from the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists and they is a Chartered Financial Analyst from The CFA Institute.
