Maggie Schmitt

Maggie Schmitt is an experienced healthcare professional with a strong background in physician recruitment and practice administration. Currently serving as the Director of Physician Recruitment at Baptist Memorial Health Care since December 2011, Maggie previously held the position of Manager of Physician Recruitment and Retention at the same institution. Prior experience includes a role as Practice Administrator II at Harbor of Health, where Maggie directed primary care operations, leading to the practice’s recognition as the first NCQA certified "Patient Centered Medical Home" in Memphis. Additionally, Maggie managed a multi-specialty practice at the Department of Medicine while overseeing operations at Harbor of Health. Early in her career, Maggie served as an Administrative Intern to the UTMG Chief Executive Officer and as Front Office Manager at Harbor of Health, contributing to significant improvements in patient satisfaction and revenue generation. Maggie holds a Master's degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Memphis and a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
