Data and technology company Barchart has announced two senior appointments in its leadership team. Keith Petersen has been appointed Chief Strategy Officer, while Mark Wator has been named Head of Financial & Media Sales.
Mr. Peterson has been Barchart’s Head of Strategy since joining the company in 2016. Prior to that, he held senior roles in business and corporate development at CME Group and IMC Trading. In his new role, he will be responsible for the company’s commercial enablement, business development, data science, and product strategy, including developing proprietary data products.
Mr. Wator has been with Barchart since arriving as a college graduate in 2008. He has progressed through the company’s ranks with increasing responsibility, most recently serving as a senior sales executive. In his new role, he will lead the company’s expanding sales team and the solutions it offers, including a comprehensive market data and technology platform. He will also support Barchart’s expansion into new markets.
"With Keith joining Barchart over 4 years ago and Mark joining over 12 years ago, both have been key participants in the firm's growth. I am very happy to see their responsibilities expand and excited to see them excel in their new roles," said Barchart CEO Mark Haraburda. "From sales and business development to product and marketing strategy, they have both driven our business forward. We are fortunate to have them as part of Barchart's management team and are confident that their contributions will help Barchart continue to grow, and provide meaningful data and technology solutions to commodity, financial and media businesses."
