Sumit Sasidharan

Sumit Sasidharan is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in real estate and investment management. Currently serving as Managing Director at Barings since September 2025, Sumit previously held the position of Managing Director and Head of Commercial Real Estate at Angel Oak Capital Advisors, LLC from November 2023 to August 2025. Prior to that, Sumit served as Managing Director at Ares Management, L.P. from September 2017 to November 2023, and as Managing Director at Annaly Capital Management from 2011 to July 2017. Sumit's career began at Fitch Ratings, where a role as Director was held from 1997 to 2003, followed by a position as Senior Vice President at CWCapital LLC from 2004 to 2011. Sumit earned a degree from the University of Chicago between 1992 and 1996.
