James C. Pelletier

SVP, General Counsel & Secretary at Barnes

James C. Pelletier was appointed Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Barnes Group Inc. in April 2020. Mr. Pelletier joined Barnes Group in 2015 and previously held the position of Deputy General Counsel, Barnes Group Inc. and Segment General Counsel for Barnes Aerospace. Prior to joining Barnes Group, Mr. Pelletier held the position of Associate Counsel with Pratt & Whitney, a United Technologies Company. From 2007 to 2009, Mr. Pelletier was Compliance Counsel for GE Aviation. Prior to that, he worked in the Office of the General Counsel at the U.S. Department of Commerce as an Attorney-Advisor within the Bureau of Industry and Security. Mr. Pelletier began his career as an Associate with the law firm Orrick, Herrington, & Sutcliffe, LLP in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Pelletier earned a Juris Doctor and Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) from Duke University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in International Politics from Georgetown University. He is admitted to practice law in New York, Connecticut (in-house counsel), and the District of Columbia.
