Shawn Shannon

Shawn Shannon possesses extensive experience in maritime operations and management, currently serving as Assistant Dockmaster and Waterfront Area Supervisor II at General Dynamics - Bath Iron Works since June 2022. Prior experience includes a role as Production Associate in the Professional Development Program at CIANBRO, where coordination and safe transport of materials to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard were key responsibilities. Shawn also operated Hidden Creek Oysters LLC as a business owner and held various positions at Moran Towing Corporation, including Training Mate and Cadet/Deckhand, where hands-on experience with barge operations was gained. Prior to that, a tenure as Sr. Deckhand at Seastreak MV provided skills in freight delivery and customer service. Academically, a Bachelor of Science in Vessel Operations and Technology was achieved from Maine Maritime Academy between 2012 and 2016.
