Yevgeny Fundler

Yevgeny Fundler is the Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Secretary at Benson Hill. Yevgeny has also served as the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at American Industrial Transport, Inc. / AITX LLC (formerly American Railcar Industries, Inc.) from January 2014 to December 2021. While at American Industrial Transport, Fundler negotiated a long-term supply agreement with an estimated backlog value in excess of $1B, successfully resolved a regulatory dispute realizing savings in excess of $100mm, implemented a strategy to mitigate operational risks resulting in potential savings and avoidance of billions of dollars in liabilities, negotiated long-term financing and securitization transactions in excess of $1B in borrowings, and successfully implemented rebranding of the company. Prior to their time at American Industrial Transport, Fundler served as the General Counsel & Vice President at WestPoint Home from January 2010 to December 2014. While at WestPoint Home, they negotiated a strategic licensing agreement with a leading designer yielding significant sales increase and preserving brand integrity, led legal restructuring of the company’s business to reposition production and sourcing, resulting in the growth of the company’s profitability, negotiated an international joint venture resulting in millions of dollars in savings, and negotiated a multimillion-dollar exclusive manufacturing agreement for supply of packaging developed specifically for the company’s products.

Yevgeny Fundler has a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, a professional certificate in European Union Law from the University of Amsterdam, and a B.A. in International Business from San Diego State University.
