The Berks County Intermediate Unit has a long and varied history when it comes to their board of directors. The current Director, Mrs. Cheryl Powell, has been with the organization for over 20 years. Before that, she was an Occupational Therapist at Step by Step Pediatric Therapy, Wilson School District & Austill's Rehab Services, and The Reading Hospital and Medical Center. Mrs. Powell has also been a Director at Hildebrandt Learning Centers, LLC, and she holds degrees in Occupational Therapy and Early Childhood Education from Alvernia University and the University of Scranton respectively.
